Check out what I thought of the latest restaurant on the London pizza and cider scene – The Stable, Whitechapel.
Serving up fresh pizza alongside the best craft cider this restaurant is sure to be a big hit!
Much like their first ever restaurant, The Stable, Whitechapel has already been met with great praise – offering free pizza to their Facebook fans was a genius idea and saw punters queueing up quite literally down the street!
As both a pizza and cider fanatic I knew I had to be one of the first people through the doors so just days after they opened Jon and I grabbed ourselves a table.
The Cider Tap in Euston has long been my favourite bar for a casual Friday night drink but now I can get pizza and cider under one roof I really am in heaven.

Handmade pizza cooked from scratch and cider sourced from the West Country are the two things The Stable does, and it does them well.
Owners Nikki and Richard Cooper set up their Stable restaurants in Dorset and now have more than a dozen branches across the UK from Birmingham to Bridport.
For their first London location, they've taken over a former nightclub on Whitechapel Road, and just as they do in their other restaurants, they've named some of their pizzas after local historical figures and locations.
Order at the bar and enjoy the pizza, pints plus regular music nights, and the popular Tuck In Tuesday - with selected pizzas, side salad and a drink for ten of your English pounds.

Whilst Londoners are supposedly more and more interested in cider, we seem to be losing the best places to drink the stuff – most notably Chimes in Pimlico, and The Cider Tap in Euston (which is due to turn in to The Northern Tap in September).
But never fear, cider fans, as The Stable has ridden in on a white horse or two from Dorset, and settled down in Whitechapel with 80+ varieties of cider (plus the odd beer too).
Alongside the copious amounts of cider, there’s a lengthy pizza and pie menu worth investigating.
From the outside, The Stable looks rather small with its cosy front room, but venture further in and you’ll find a vast cider hall with eye-catching decor and lighting.

staff food
15 minutes passed before we sought out a member of staff to get our first drink but on asking various questions on ciders available she was unable to answer without checking with another staff member.
evening) it may well have been the young lady's first night but surely she should have been informed of the specials etc.
We are regular visitors to The Stable in Bournemouth and have eaten twice before at the Whitechapel branch when staying in London last November when the food was good and the staff plentiful and friendly.
Whilst the food was good, the amount of staff was inadequate for a Friday evening.
All in all a VERY disappointing birthday evening and the fact we invited a friend to join us only made the experience more so.
RA: The Stable, Whitechapel - London nightclub
About The building is split into two parts but don’t worry, there’s a bar in each.
The rear opens up with a larger bar stage.
