The Tiroler Hut on Westbourne Grove in Bayswater, London W2 | CWR

The Tiroler Hut is one of the most exciting and authentic Austrian restaurants in London.

Offering a unique combination of delicious freshly sourced Austrian food and incredible entertainment (including a lively accordion player wearing traditional lederhosen), this restaurant perfectly recreates the atmosphere of Austrian apres-ski in the heart of the city.

However it’s not just the party atmosphere that attracts guests to The Tiroler Hut: the food is genuinely delicious, providing Austrians living in London with a true taste of home.

Situated on the popular Westbourne Grove in the heart of Bayswater, The Tiroler Hut is a mecca for both well-heeled local residents and London-based celebrities alike: Kate Moss is a frequent visitor to the restaurant.

The strudel was very good but the ice cream seemed to be a very cheap variety with lots of ice crystals inside, the kind you get in a discount supermarket.

Quite an expensive place and the table was a very tight squeeze but atmosphere was good, although a little dark, and the staff were very attentive.

Service, entertainment and atmosphere are outstanding, with the food being satisfying.

Amazing evening with great Austrian food excellent attentive service and great entertainment The food was delicious and tasted like home (I am from Austria) great variety of different dishes available at a fair price and as well good drink selection The staff was very welcoming attentive and friendly.

Restaurant was extremely hot but great atmosphere and very good food.

Tragically, the night we visited he was unwell, so no music.

Devastated, we made do with the Sound Of Music soundtrack and found ourselves crooning The Lonely Goatherd towards the end.

A Tuesday night was quiet - it gets riotous at weekends - but you're so overwhelmed by Heidi-type artefacts that it provides its own atmosphere.

ES Lifestyle Newsletter Thursday evening at the Tiroler Hut, an Austrian restaurant in a Westbourne Grove basement that’s decorated like an Alpine lodge.

So he’s brought us a slice of strudel with a candle in it, to be consumed during the restaurant’s nightly music show: a man playing ‘Edelweiss’ on a set of Tirolean cowbells.

What the  A-to-Z Dining Club offers is the rare chance to press pause on our hectic lives for a few hours and enjoy each other’s company.

For several years in the Noughties, the three of us shared a grotty flat above a Thai restaurant in the heart of Spitalfields, where an evening out at the pub required no more than 30 seconds’ planning.

Its a ticketed event rather than a traditional restaurant and you can opt to sit at one of the social tables, where youll dine with friends and/or strangers, or you can book a VIP booth to guarantee a table for two.

This flamboyant restaurant in Covent Garden is a buzzy spot for drinks, dining and drama.

This loud and lively restaurant and bar in Battersea is named for the raucous parties that former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi used to throw.

Tuck into traditional Chinese dishes like dumplings and crispy Peking duck in the quirky surroundings of Feng Shang Princess, a floating restaurant on the Regents Canal close to London Zoo.

This cozy restaurant is decked out with accordions, cross country skis, cuckoo clocks and all manner of trinkets and hearty dishes are served atop tables covered in red checkered tablecloths.
