Paul A Young: Purists insist that hot chocolate should be made only with pure chocolate and no milk — and the water ganache-based drink created by this much-loved chocolatier is so rich and luxuriant that you won’t miss the dairy.

Another fun option is to stir their ‘hot chocolate blocks’ into milk or cream to make your own bespoke drink.

Café Godiva at Harrods: The classic Belgian chocolate brand has a café on the second floor of the luxury department store, and the drinks menu encompasses not only hot chocolates but cold chocolate drinks too.

The Knightsbridge Lounge: Part of the sumptuous Park Tower hotel, this is a beautiful tea parlour, champagne and hot chocolate bar that serves food and drink under a canopy of magnolia blossoms, inspired by nearby Hyde Park.

There’s a separate hot chocolate menu, in which Rococo chocolates are flavoured with espresso, orange, peppermint, strawberry, chilli and allspice, blackcurrant and vanilla, whisky or amaretto flavours.

This neighbourhood gem at the top of Queensway is a little corner of Spain away from Spain.

But as its namesake suggests, theres one reason why this caff remains a firm favourite with Bayswater locals… the Churros.

And you get proper Churros con Chocolate here, i.e. irresistible deep-fried curls of dough, dusted down with sugar, cinnamon and served with the super-thick hot chocolate kind.

A little corner of Spain in Bayswater You won’t find a better use for 30 of your English pennies anywhere else throughout the country.

The patio seating is fantastic, and I love that they offer churros here, but the staff were so rude!

First, they told us that we might not be able to eat there because ordering beverages and churros was too little (I would understand if it were insanely busy, but there were quite a few empty tables).

Afterwards, the person who appeared to be in charge on the floor, began to yell at a staff... Más información
