Mark McGinlay and Kate White Christmas markets bring festive cheer It’s the most wonderful time of the year, goes the song by Andy Williams – and that’s certainly true in Dulwich, where four Christmas markets are promising to get even self-confessed Scrooges into the seasonal spirit.
Held on Park Hall, Croxted and Rosendale roads, the free event will feature special festive in-store activities from the area’s local shops, including Santa’s grotto at Wigwam toy shop, decoration painting at The Dulwich Trader and a treasure hunt at The Rosendale pub.
This year will see the advent of an art trail, with local artists exhibiting their work in spaces on Lordship Lane and beyond; and a guided walk of street art commissioned by the Dulwich Outdoor Gallery – founded by the late Ingrid Beazley – will take place from 12-1.30pm (meet at Vale End, opposite East Dulwich Station; tickets £10 each from dulwichfestival.co.uk).
