Farnum Christ - London Restaurant Guide

The following restaurants are either in close vicinity of many of our flats or worth the ride.

On any given day at any restaurant the standards of food and service may vary, but we have certainly tried to suggest establishments where we feel the standards are consistently high.

This list does include some of the grand well-known restaurants but mostly the local neighborhood establishments.

Oslo Court - London Restaurant Reviews | Hardens

“Whether you’re 70, 80 or 90 years old: the place to party!”

This priceless veteran, quirkily tucked away at the foot of a Regent’s Park apartment block, is “a top choice for senior citizens” across north London, “who want to take out 2-3 generations of their family for a celebratory dinner”.

by “unfailing” staff of the old school, in a “wonderfully camp”, “plush, pink and comfortable” (if “cramped”) setting.

Top Tip – “birthday cakes can be pre-ordered free for parties of 4+, and the singing’s not bad either!”

L'Aventure, 3 Blenheim Terrace, St. John's Wood, London, NW8 ...

L'Aventure is an excellent and romantic neighbourhood restaurant.

The staff is mostly French, as are the excellent wines.

The French lady owner is there on most days and happy to chat if you want.

It is not a "posh" or pretentious place, and possibly it is slightly overpriced, but that is a feature of the location, the locals can afford it!

Book in advance, as the place is not that big, and in demand.

This good-looking Lebanese restaurant takes the place of Ed Shaerf's One Blenheim Terrace.

The food menu offers a tour of Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine.

Mezze (here called Lebanese hors d'oeuvres) range from various hummus, moutabel and tabouleh to fatayer, meat sambousek, Lebanese pickles, Armenian sausages and the better-than-it-sounds foul moudammas - a traditional Middle Eastern dip of boiled broad beans cooked in lemon juice and olive oil.

Options include cubes of chicken marinated in garlic, lemon juice and olive oil, mixed grills, lamb cutlets served with French fries and kafta yogurtlieh - minced lamb with onion and parsley grilled and then dipped in yoghurt and croutons.

There's Lebanese beer too (Almaza), alongside bottles of Peroni and Corona.
