Cocoro – Tonkotsu Lobster Ramen - Critical ramen review by a ...
food ambience menu staff
Tonkotsu Lobster Ramen Cocoro restaurant in Marylebone has a new place by The British Museum in Bloomsbury.
– Tonkotsu Lobster Ramen.
Apparently it’s Tonkotsu base soup with Lobster stock Ok, usually I am a traditionalist but what the heck I will give it a go.
Topping 4/5 Apart from it not having Lobster meat topping, (I guess this is lobster stock soup Ramen, not lobster ramen) they are pretty good.
This place is not about being hip or being on the Ramen hype, while some other Ramen restaurants in London try too hard with architecturally designed decor for hipsters who get pleased by the hype not taste… I would almost say this was the best bowl of Ramen I had in London.

February | 2008 | Haikugirl's Japan
Yes, I realise that for someone who calls herself ‘Haikugirl’ I don’t actually seem to write a lot of haiku… But I do, I’ve just had a little dry spell lately.
Anyway, a while ago I was alerted to this haiku competition.

food
Some Japanese restaurants try to impress with swanky decor and fine tableware; some just focus on providing decent, well-priced food.
This little spot, tucked down a side road off New Oxford Street, is all about soothing workaday staples.
A nearby table of Japanese salarymen slurped theirs approvingly.
While the ramen rivals any that you’d find in a no-nonsense eatery in Japan, our sweet soy-based beef and vegetable hot pot (sukiyaki) was a little disappointing.
Service, though friendly, was a little absent-minded, but there’s no complaining about the array of Japanese beers, spirits and fruity liqueurs.
