I Falafel - Home - London, United Kingdom - Menu, Prices, Restaurant Reviews | Facebook

Back in England's green and pleasant land today.

I usually get pretty upset about falafel, they're often a bit dry and the stuff from the supermarket can taste a bit like cardboard but today we've got some good uns.

A flatbread filled to the brim with humous, tomato/chilli sauce, hot falafel, tomatoes, cucumber, gherkins, lettuce, mint leaves and a drizzle of sesame sauce.

The falafel was crunchy on the outside but moist and spicy inside; absolutely delicious.

The addition of the sauces with the humous as well gives a variety of texture and flavour with a subtle bit of ooomf.

BIG FALAFEL WRAP | I FALAFEL | £4 — LONDON CHEAP EATS

Review analysis

Who doesn't love a falafel wrap?

I Falafel in Goulston Street's market serves up ludicrously large falafel flatbread wraps for £4, to a mix of Gherkin suits and locals for weekday lunches.

Just be sure to get one with everything so that you don't interfere with his honed assembly line - falafel, houmous, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, gherkins, tomato, chilli, mint, sesame sauce.

I Falafel.

You Falafel.

Petticoat Lane Market | Shopping in Aldgate, London

Review analysis
location

If the promenade of trendies at the nearby Spitalfields Market gets a little overbearing, head a few streets south to the famously salt-of-the-earth Petticoat Lane Market.

Note, however, that the stalls are actually located in and around Middlesex Street – the Victorians deeming the road’s original name a touch too saucy.

Wares range from knocked-down toiletries to knocked-off designer clothing: batteries, cleaning products, fabrics, luggage, toys and everything in between are hawked at bargain prices while the area’s multicultural heritage shines through.

The area has since played home to a large Asian community.
