Our top 8 newly opened halal restaurants in London goes from burgers to birds (cooked of course) and even a new award-winning restaurant.

This newly opened halal restaurant hosts a selection of premium gourmet burgers in a menu designed by the former Executive Chef of Meat and Shake, Christian Stoner and promises to be a real treat.

As one of the more innovative newly opened halal restaurants, we’re super intrigued to try the dark chocolate covered barbeque wings… Next In our pick of newly opened halal restaurants is Dhaba@49, a new restaurant in Maida Vale serving up the finest North Indian Cuisine with a European twist.

Whilst not completely new to the London dining scene, the award-wining Sri-Lankan restaurant has to make it onto our newly opened halal list becuase of its huge popularity.

Although the menu features non halal items such as pork and duck, the staff assure us halal food is prepared and cooked separately.

Sadly, my excitement to see it on a UK menu was short-lived, as the Beef and Birds poutine fell short in both texture and taste.

Our first burger of the evening was the relatively popular “Dirty Diana”, which consisted of a wet-aged beef patty drenched in a creamy mustard, peppercorn and mushroom sauce.

However, this was somewhat offset by the dense and slightly spongy texture of the beef patty, which failed to offer memorable, inherent flavours of its own.

The beef patties in particular, are just too dense and too spongy to provide a satisfying experience for the palate, no matter how many creative sauces and components are slathered on top.

Alas, despite their creative flair, (and their sheer bravery in combining chocolate and BBQ sauce), Beef and Birds fall short of the goal that they are clearly trying to achieve.
