After popping up outside the Southbank Centre with a set of igloos this winter, Jimmy Garcia is coming back for the summer and he’s bringing his BBQ Club with him.

The split level pop-up will feature a BBQ Bar on the bottom, where you can rock up for burgers and salad boxes, and the BBQ Club restaurant on the top.

There’ll also be a rooftop bar serving G&Ts, craft beers and ciders, so you can pop up there for a drink even if you’re not stopping for food.

Tickets for Jimmy’s pop-ups always fly out and this one is gonna be no different so snap them up now!

Having borrowed the tables and chairs from the local church, and assigned the help of housemates to wait on tables, the flame was lit with raucous sell out evenings in Jimmy’s first London flat, let's hope the landlord’s not reading this.

ES Food Newsletter Jimmy Garcia might just be London’s most prominent pop-up personality, having been laying on regular makeshift restaurants since 2013 — and pretty reliably selling them out, too.

Next month he will return to the capital’s culinary scene with his biggest project to date: a GIY, grill it yourself, barbecue restaurant on the South Bank.

The lower level will serve drinks alongside a selection of dishes straight from the open grill, all for under £10 a pop.

Here each table will have its own barbecue built into its centre, and guests will be encouraged to baste meats and grill dishes as they go — all the while being overseen by Jimmy and his team of chefs.
