food

Eurasia is a special place... a place where the East meets the West to create a unique fusion food experience, all situated within the heart of East Sussex.

Set within The Royal George, Hurst Green, Eurasia restaurant was started by Jo Lee in 1996,  and has been the winner of the Pub Food Award and recieved national coverage from independent recommendations from Time Out and the Saturday Observer.

Eurasia is not a place for ‘unhealthy chicken balls’ and ‘huge oily spring rolls filled with beansprouts’ or ‘chop sueys’.

The cuisine of Eurasia is that of the home of the ‘Nonya’, fresh, aromatic, fragrant  and spicy, created with care and passion.

food

A local community pub serving Youngs Beers & Authentic Thai Food to people of all ages and backgrounds who involve themselves in the many and various activities that Sandra and Ray either organise or support.

These include promoting the local Beer Festival, giving a stage to local bands, charity quiz nights, vintage car and motorbike clubs, a golf society and parties for all occasions.

We have a fantastic menu of Thai cuisine attracting diners from far and wide, either just out for a meal or celebrating a special occasion.

Thai food is served Monday to Saturday, and traditional Roasts are served on Sundays from midday until 3pm.

The Royal George also hosts a regular Tuesday quiz night.

Ruby Jean's at The Royal George review – pubco Americana for ...

Most pubs tend to be surrounded by cheap takeaways catering to the sozzled and the weak-willed, but The Royal George in Soho tries to keep those high-functioning alcohol abusers from spending their money elsewhere.

Branded as Ruby Jean’s Diner, all the branches of these seemingly independent American ‘diners’ are actually owned by Mitchells and Butlers – the same sprawling multi-brand pubco that owns all the pubs in which all Ruby Jean’s branches are located.

Far more disappointing were the onions inside the batter – some were stuffed with a bitty, unrecognisable filling while others did have a whole ring, but were almost all uniformly bland, limp and overcooked.

Unless you’ve completely annihilated your intellectual, navigational and transportation faculties for the night with alcohol, Ruby Jean’s at The Royal George just isn’t worth bothering with.

What to avoid: Almost everything else Name: Ruby Jean’s Diner at The Royal George Total cost for one person when shared between four excluding drinks: £15 approx.

Greene King Local Pubs | Royal George pub in Euston

The Royal George is situated right opposite Euston Station and is named after the HMS Royal George that was a flagship vessel for the Royal Navy back in the 1800's.

This is also why the front of the pub looks like the rear of the ship the Royal George.

We’ve something for all the family – from our freshly carved, slow cooked roasts exactly how you like them, tasty pub food classics such as hand battered fish and steak and ale pie – all available on any day of the week.

What’s more, every day we make our own fresh dough so you can tuck into freshly made stone baked pizzas and garlic bread.
