A/R/A/N/G - Korean Restaurant -
London Tastin'
food
Naru’s BBQ is too sweet and done in the kitchen rather than on the table, plus the whole place felt more Japanese than Korean.
Service was impeccable (in the Asian way, not napkin folding Michelin style), meat was turned at the perfect timing, bibimbap (stone pot rice) was mixed properly with chilli sauce.
Meat was marinated on the sweet side, seafood pajeon (korean flatbread) was doughy but still delicious with a sticky rice texture.
The restaurant felt really Asian, food delivered in minutes (as soon as you put down the menu), every table was occupied by oriental people and typically in large groups.
Not sure why Asian restaurants like giving out oranges in the end Overall it ticks all the boxes, though I do wish the flavours are more authentic and would love to see rice cakes on the menu.

Arang (Golden Square): where Korean goes beyond BBQ - The Girl ...
food
I really want to visit New Malden suburbia where, I’ve been told, the best Korean restaurants in the city can be found.
Having not had Korean in a while, N was super excited to see dishes from her childhood.
This is a popular Korean streetfood food made from soft rice cake, fish cake, and gochujang.
Compared to Koba, the meat in Arang had a stronger marinade which gave a nice smokier flavour profile.
Koba’s rib-eye may have stolen my Korean BBQ heart, but Arang’s beef short rib (bulgalbi) was definitely a winner for both N & I.
Arang – Restaurant Review | Korean Class MASSIVE
food menu reservations busyness staff
Pricing: Most set lunch menu prices around £7-8, side dishes around £2 (other prices varies accordingly) Review: This larger than expected restaurant is set in Golden Square, a great location that’s easy to get to and has lots going on around it.
You have a set lunch menu, soups, sides, casseroles, noodles, BBQ at your table and much more.
You might be a bit overwhelmed when you first open the menu as there’s so much choice, but have a good look at what’s on offer and you’ll be sure to find something that will suit everyone.
We settled for bossam (보쌈) – steamed pork with kimchi and miso soup, dumpling, kimchi, seasoned vegetables fruit with steamed rice or fried rice, kimchi bogumbap (김치복음밥) – kimchi fried rice with pork & fried egg, pickle radish with soup, and tuigim udong (튀김 우동) – noodle in seafood stock soup with deep fried prawn, vegetable.
How to construct your bossum: Take one of the cabbage leaves, and place spicy kimchi, pork, garlic and chilis (to taste), sauces (watch out how much you put on, taste them first, I went a bit crazy with them), and rice, then wrap up.

Although when we first went in to the place we were left to draw up a stool at the bar and wait without a drink for "five minutes" (which turned out to be more like 30), once we were seated everything improved. The staff were very polite and helpful despite their english not being 100%.
Beware, a lot of the food is extremely spicy and I spent most of the evening with tears streaking my face.
The food is so tasty however, it's worth it.The feel of the place is unique with very futuristic looking tables which incorporate hobs and sleek-lined chairs, you know you're in for a treat because of the place being packed out with Koreans and a smattering of English who have discovered this je
