What do you get when you fuse the love of INdian cooking with the tasty ease of a burrITO?

Inito of course, which opened last Friday with the aim of offering Shoreditch its lighter and faster brand of “authentic” Indian food.

Inito’s has an adventurous menu packed with modern Indian inspired dishes paired with traditional recipes.

Whether you’re seeking after a traditional Indian Tandoori Sizzler or a lighter ‘Exposed’ (like a wrap but minus the bread), there’s something for everyone.

With London being in limited supply of lighter Indian options, you’ll be able to grab food like: There are many options for gluten-free and vegan diners and a desserts list.

It’s worth making the trip though, to Inito, a quirky Indian street food cafe where I’d arranged to meet a group of food bloggers a few Saturdays ago.

Inito looks a bit like the cafe part of Roti Chai – big sharing tables, a fun bar area and funky artwork on the walls.

Down the other end of the table, pav sliders arrived for the vegetarians, while we enjoyed lamb cutlets, spiced fish and tandoori chicken with a variety of home made chutneys.

Steaming bowls of dahl were served along with more curries of lamb and chicken And a splendid pair of biriyanis.

Biriyani is always something of a spectacular dish – cut away the pastry topping to reveal a fragrant soft fluffy rice mixture, it was great to see the delight on Chef’s face as he showcased his dish to us.

You might not recognise the name just yet, but this is the first in a planned chain of casual diners.

With its modern take on a regional cuisine, in this case Indian, Inito also has similarities with nearby DF Mexico.

Compared to the lacklustre Brick Lane restaurants, Inito’s grub is more in line with East End legends Tayyabs and Lahore Kebab House.

The tandoori grilled lamb chops featured younger and more tender meat than the fabled renditions at the other two restaurants, and the spicing was just as finessed, if not as pungent.

The design here is also sleeker than your average Brick Lane curry house.
