Sapori Sardi

Sapori Sardi

Food was amazing, as well as finding real Sardinian products there!

The only thing I would suggest is improving the service.

It was very slow, and not really friendly.

Sardinian people are known to be friendly and easy to go with:service was not representing the real Sardinia unfortunately!

The menu features a number of Sardinian dishes, and the bread is made from scratch in the kitchen; the chef’s father was a baker by training.

A dish of Sardinian gnocchi (£9.95) had with it a sausage ragu, tomato sauce, saffron, rocket and a shaving of pecorino.

A Sardinian fish stew (£18.50) had swordfish, sea bass, prawn and mussels on top of a tomato-based sauce, with some slices of toasted bread, with a green salad to the side.

The sauce was pleasant enough, and the mussels were acceptable, but the fish was wildly overcooked, the swordfish almost rubbery in texture (9/20).

King prawns (£17.95) in lemon garlic and white wine sauce were slightly overcooked, served with a few new potatoes, broccoli and green beans.

Sapori Sardi is truly one-of-a-kind, the kind of restaurant that warrants pilgrimage from far-away places to revel in the wonderful ambiance and take in the authentic Sardinian cuisine.

But don’t just take our word for it – Sapori Sardi is a darling of London foodies and professional food critics alike.

Everybody just seems to love the family-run restaurant on Fulham Road, and chef Piero has been cooking all his life, starting at the tender age of 11, being on a mission to bring you authentic Sardinian and Italian cuisine.

Oh, the wine: Sapori Sardi on Fulham Road boasts an impressive list of wines that go marvellously with the many delicacies on the menu.

We’re already counting the days until we get to enjoy another night out at Sapori Sardi.
