ULI | Asian Restaurant Notting Hill
Located at Notting Hill Gate, ULI offers a fresh, honest approach to Asian cuisine.
Natural limed oak, soft tones of blue and contemporary art give the restaurant a clean and informal look, highlighted by a hanging garden of pendant lights.
We believe that Asian food should be clean, fresh and healthy, and that each dish should always be made from scratch.
Originally established on the All Saints Road in 1997, ULI became a firm favourite among locals and critics alike.
At its new home on Ladbroke Road where our terrace forms part of the vibrant local scene, ULI serves lunch and dinner all week as well as an extensive range of snacks, cocktails and beverages.

location menu food
So ULI and it’s pan-Asian menu has migrated from All Saints Road to Ladbroke Road, W11.
The new iteration has all the ingredients of a great neighbourhood spot.
The old menu has been reimagined and offers Chinese, Malay, Thai and Singapore classics including soft shell crab, crispy aromatic duck, and peppercorn salted prawns as well as some new, more off beat dishes to try (Who knew turnip tops could taste so good?)
Just added is a new YUM CHA lunch menu of lighter dishes such as steamed dim sum, pho noodle soups and bao buns.
You can takeaway, or get home delivery – and they’re launching a new app this month so you don’t even have to make a call to place your order.

It was called Wei Hai Wei and, despite being just a simple little place with a few pink clothed tables in front of the takeout bar, it enjoyed an excellent reputation and people would travel from far and wide to grab a bite there.
The Chinese waiters, little old men by the time I was a regular, were notoriously abrupt.
Eventually, some 10 years ago or so, the Food Standards Agency shut down this much loved little restaurant.
I’ve eaten Pan Asian food at Mr. Chow’s in Knightsbridge, sitting beside Shirley Bassey no less, at China Tang’s in the Dorchester with Kate Moss tucking in heartily just a few tables away, at Ken Lo’s Memories of China, at trendy E&O in Notting Hill and many glamorous and not so glamorous restaurants in Soho, Singapore and Hong Kong, but, aside from Sexy Fish in Berkeley Square, which is altogether in a league of it’s own, I have never enjoyed that type of food as much as I did in plain old little Wei Hai Wei.
We order Peppercorn Salted Calamari and Soft Shell Crab with Chilli Padi to start with and a small portion of Crispy Aromatic Duck , another of Grilled Fish Kampong with Galangal accompanied by Jasmine Rice as mains with a Lotus Root Salad as well as Mixed Chinese Vegetables on the side.

ambience food menu
ULI originally opened on All Saints Road in Notting Hill 1997, where it was a firm favourite among locals and with critics.
At its new home on Ladbroke Roa, the restaurant benefits from a terrace area – a gorgeous enclosed space with a hanging garden, full of greenery and lights.
ULI, in its new home, is still a gorgeous restaurant serving pan Asian food, a curated selection of Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean cuisines.
It features Asian favourites such as edamame beans, thai crackers, dumplings, spring rolls, crispy calamari, aromatic duck, and thai green curry.
The atmosphere in Notting Hill ULI is quiet when we arrive, but fills up with families and friends, becoming more buzzy and vibrant throughout the evening.

Former model Caprice in dig at Notting Hill nimbys over restaurant's ...
food location
ES News Email Model-turned-businesswoman Caprice has hit out at neighbours in Notting Hill for trying to stop a restaurant building an outside terrace, saying they are acting as if they live in “some picturesque village in the Cotswolds”.
Graham Rebak, who owns the Beach Blanket Babylon restaurants in Notting Hill and Shoreditch, wants to put 14 tables on a decked terrace to offer alfresco dining when his Uli bistro opens in Ladbroke Road, near Portobello market.
Caprice says a terrace would be an improvement to the courtyard (Dave Benett) But Caprice Bourret has been joined by former Tory climate change minister Lord Barker and swimwear designer Melissa Odabash in backing the plan.
Ms Odabash, the Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite swimwear designer, said: “The plans look great and will be a welcome addition to the ongoing life and vitality of Notting Hill.”
A statement on behalf of the developer said: “The proposed outdoor customer seating terrace would complement the approved restaurant use, improve the appearance of the application property and increase the vitality and viability of the centre.”
