The Victoria Inn, a boutique hotel and pub near the desirable Bellenden Road in Peckham, recently had a complete makeover to keep up with the times in a rapidly gentrifying area.
The approach of serving comforting dishes with a few twists to traditional classics was apparent when perusing the Sunday dinner menu.
Beautifully served up on the plate, the small hunk of rabbit was delicious, perfectly complemented by the pickled red cabbage.
As this was a Sunday, the roasts were a must, despite being tempted by a main menu that featured pies, burgers, fish and more.
There was certainly somewhere where there was no more room, but the revamped Victoria Inn has been rightfully warmly welcomed in Peckham.
