We have a wonderfully loyal clientele and we are pleased to reward them with delicious menus designed around our “Food Comes First” philosophy.
From our signature Short Rib to lighter fish dishes and catch of the day from our local fishmongers, we have creative daily specials as well as the a la carte menu offering a choice of starters, main courses and desserts carefully put together.
Our selection choice of beers,ciders and wines change regularly to compliment the menu and the season.
Our Sunday lunches are legendary known in the local area for being the real deal and booking is highly recommended.
With five distinct areas, including the Kinks’ Lounge, it’s a great place for a celebration that can be scaled up or down depending on your needs.

The Clissold Arms is a laid-back, family-orientated pub situated between Muswell Hill and East Finchley in North London.
Our menus reflect the relaxed character of the pub, but we dont compromise on quality or service.
The ambience of the Clissold Arms is what makes this pub a truly unique experience with five distinct areas main Restaurant, Kinks Room, covered Terrace, the Shed and our Garden, all of which you can enjoy for dinner or drinks.
The Clissold Arms is the home of The Kinks, having had the honour of hosting their first gig in December 1960, and their last gig, in June 1996.
In their honour, our Kinks Room is adorned with Kinks memorabilia and is the pride of Kinks fans from all over the world.

GO London Newsletter An increasing number of London's pub close, change owners and reopen again, but more column inches than usual were devoted to the changes in management at the Clissold Arms over the last couple of years.
This can mostly be put down to the pub's close connections to The Kinks: the brothers Davies first public performance took place here many moons ago years ago, and a small collection of memorabilia marked the spot.
When the pub closed, a campaign was launched to protect the site, which even received Ray Davies's backing.
This one's been taken on by the owners of a successful group of madeover pubs in East London, which is all the more surprising given how formulaic this pub now is: all the cliches of gastropub refits are fully in force, from the hardbacked church chairs to the regulation off-white painted walls - it's as if someone with no background in pub management has taken the place on, and is religiously following the gastropub makeover rule book.
The range of drinks on offer are decent enough and the food may well be of a high standard, but the Clissold, once a pub with a distinct air and a unique history, has now become just another identikit gastropub.

Muswell Hill couples, families and groups of friends regularly pack this large gastropub.
On sunny days, the large, pretty terrace to the side feels like an escape to a Mediterranean isle (not only because of the Spanish cured meats, king prawns and other tapas-style dishes on the specials board).
Tables under the large sheltered canopy introduce a boardwalk atmosphere.
The evening menu combines gastropub classics, such as 28-day-aged beef and chips cooked in dripping, with Mediterranean dishes such as Catalan fish stew.
The Kinks played their first gig here, and a room is dedicated to the band.
