British café Thomas’s at 121 Burberry Regent Street has introduced a new summer menu full of lighter dishes and softer flavours for summer.
Located within Burberry’s personal gifting suite, it enables visitors to peruse the collection of special gifts and souvenirs on offer, and have them personalised for a special touch, while sampling the new menu in the café.
New dishes include Bertha-roasted asparagus with poached eggs and chervil hollandaise sauce and Wylye river trout with pennyworth and herb salad.
Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the summery elderflower sorbet or the traditional Oakchurch strawberries served with fresh clotted cream – perfect for a hot summers day.

Owner David Carter is a bloomin’ nice bloke and the things he and the team do to meat is something out of this world.
Perfect with the rich meat.
30-day dry aged beef rib (£16.50) isn’t for the faint hearted – the meat is seriously strong in flavour but so soft and delicate.
It’s then filled with smoked rarebit – basically a cheesy, creamy mashed potato which is quite marvellous.
If you’re a meat lover then SMOKESTAK really is one for the top of your list.

From the burger section: Green Chilli Cheese (£9) is the perfect size – big enough to look impressive but not so big you need a pitchfork and saw to eat it.
The panko fried thigh is both moist and crisp while the accompanying shredded iceberg lettuce and American cheese with chipotle mayo is a decent blend of light and heavy.
It’s nice to see bao buns on the menu, especially when they arrive all light and fluffy, sandwiching more of that panko crusted chicken.
The bird is free range and cooked twice giving it extra crunch.
I’d say Coqfighter is easily up there as some of the best fried chicken I’ve had.

The next time you’re thinking of a meal out in London I’d absolutely recommend Thomas’ Burberry.
Found inside the main Burberry store on Vigo street in Piccadilly Circus, this elegant bistro serves popular British meals and cuisine, including classics like warm shepherd’s pie to fight off the cold weather, fluffy scones with clotted cream and jam, and the classically British finger sandwiches for those looking for a light bite.
Burberry is a British fashion brand founded by Thomas Burberry in 1856.
The dishes we ordered the second time were: Take my word for it, although Thomas Burberry is a fashion designer, they clearly put as much effort into their food as they do their clothes.
