When it comes to London dining, there are a few restaurants that spring to mind immediately, and The Grill at The Dorchester is one of those restaurants.

To start, I chose the duck foie gras terrine served with quince and apple chutney,my partner chose the shrimp, avocado and mango cocktail complete with baby gem lettuce.

The shrimp dish was also a delight, with the sweetness of the fresh shrimp being enhanced perfectly by the ripe avocado and mango flavours.

Our meal at The Grill at The Dorchester was, once again, absolutely flawless, from the flavours and the presentation of each and every dish, to the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant.

It's The Dorchesters effortless delivery of a five star experience that always keeps us coming back for more.

Opening its doors in 1931 its been at the epitome of luxury both in its interior design, service and of course, food and wine.

A very nice selection of bread arrived, about six different types which were accompanied by the most unusual butters i’ve had in some time.

The pea and asparagus medley was delicious but the potato risotto was very dull and added nothing but liquid and texture to the dish.

Generally, the wines were excellent, and the menu which included all this food, plus a very large glass of wine with each course which i struggled to down (etiquette – i mean sip) was £85.

For me service was spot on and although yes, a few words from my waiter were a little hard to grasp, i felt like royalty by the time i walked out.

When The Dorchester London invited me to try out one of the restaurants, I decided to take Marie from the Luxury Travel Blogger with me and I chose to try out the The Grill.

I never have problems making decisions – unless it comes to food where I would love to have everything so side dishes are a great option.

Marie actually told me that this dessert is kind of a signature dessert of The Grill and I think, it is a great choice.

I think The Grill is okay for vegetarians, though the menu is not very vegetarian-friendly, it has enough options to choose from.

I really enjoyed the beautiful interior of the restaurant, the gorgeous atmosphere, the lovely and perfect staff and my companion – and of course, the very good and delicious food and the Grill would definitely be a place I would love to come back and spend a wonderful evening.

First established in 1931, The Grill at The Dorchester quickly gained a reputation as the place to be for the finest grill food in London.

Delicious dishes range from grill favourites alongside the restaurant’s signature blue lobster chowder and an extensive sweet soufflé menu – the first of its kind in London.

Lively and welcoming, the re-imagined restaurant fuses The Dorchester’s iconic elegance with a contemporary tone and creative details.

This venerable Mayfair restaurant reopened in 2014, having been given a new lick of paint and a little bit of a makeover.

Service will no doubt be every bit as impressive, too.

As the name implies, it majors in grilled meats.

Expect dishes such as Welsh lamb with polenta au gratin, salsify and almond, wild venison with a red wine jus, Highland Wagyu sirloin, pan-seared and braised pigeon, grilled suckling pig and grilled John Dory with mussels, jerusalem artichoke and kale.
