As soon as you walk through the revolving d..
High ceilings adorned with leafy ivy, solid oak panelling on the walls with the various wine estates engraved and a tall majestic light pillar in the centre of the main dining room add to the breathtaking surroundings.
Truly seamless and fluid service from all the staff, from the warm and friendly welcome from the glamorous receptionists to the smart & efficient wait staff to the top class hospitality from the management; my experience at Frescobaldi was a holy one.
A dream for the senses, very generous portion sizes & a wine list with the most delicious wines.
Top Italian hidden away off Regent Street with authentic Tuscan flavours in a luxurious and comfortable setting with friendly service."

The wine list had 122 bottles ranging from £25 to £1,250, with a median price of £90 and an average mark-up of 3.2 times retail, which is far from a bargain but these days seems almost normal in central London.
Bottles included Whispering Angel 2013 Château d’Esclans at £58 for a wine that you can find in the high street for £17, Reserve de Leoville Barton 2010 at £98 for a bottle that retails at £30, and Mormoreto 2007 at £120 for a wine that will set you back £56 in a shop.
The pasta had very good texture and the ragu had plenty of flavour and was accurately seasoned (14/20).
The bill, with a good but not excessive bottle of wine to share and pre-dinner drinks, came to £126 a head.
The food was good, the wine list interesting though expensive, the service slick.

Ristorante Frescobaldi London in Mayfair has been so successful since opening that another 10 restaurants under the Frescobaldi brand are planned globally, from New York to Milan and Dubai to Tokyo.
We paid a visit to the hidden gem The Frescobaldis have been making wine in Tuscany for more than 700 years (their vintages have been enjoyed through the ages by Michelangelo, the Pope and King Henry VIII) but it wasn’t until 2014 that the family opened a restaurant in London.
Ristorante Frescobaldi is a top-end Italian restaurant that brings the Tuscan experience to Mayfair.
The Frescobaldi family supply fine wines to the restaurant in New Burlington Place and own a stake in it, whilst the Good Food Society co-own and run it.
The Frescobaldi family’s involvement in wine dates back to 1308.

After a year in operation, this ambitious Mayfair Italian (first UK venture of a 700-year-old Italian wine dynasty) wins praise for its “more-ish menu” and of course “great wines”.
However, there’s a “feeling that this is a missed opportunity” – the room “looks lovely” but “doesn’t quite work”; and “prices are high, even for Mayfair” yet “portions are small”.

Having conquered both Rome and Florence with its supreme execution of Tuscan cuisine, Ristorante Frescobaldi has arrived in London's Mayfair.
The restaurant takes its name from the Frescobaldi family, an Italian dynasty that can trace its roots as far back as 1308, and who once traded wine for art with Michelangelo.
Here, the wine produced by Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi continues to take centre stage — the restaurant is part-owned by Diana Frescobaldi, an oenophile and part of the family’s 30th generation — with a majority of the 150 bins on the menu available by the glass.
The dramatic space, designed by Autoban, makes clear references to the restaurant’s heritage via hand-painted drawings and framed pictures set against a backdrop of ceramic tiles, wooden panels, and a decidedly contemporary façade with fully retractable floor-to-ceiling windows.
