The Wall SE1

Eat. Skate. Drink. The cafe for House of Vans in London Waterloo.

The Wall SE1 - Eat. Skate. Drink. - Home

The Wall SE1 burst onto the South London culinary scene at House of Vans in August 2014, in a cloud of burger smoke, coffee grounds, blood, sweat and tears.

We instantly fell in the love with the venue and its ethos (plus we love an excuse to feed people), so we grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

The idea is always to provide quality food, drinks and service inspired by the American, and specifically New Yorker, café/diner scene; with influences from the ever changing street food scenes from both sides of the Atlantic.

Tying in with Vans’ skating ethos and family values, The Wall SE1 is another arm and facet to House of Vans, providing high quality and well-priced food and drink.

Myself and my partner were very excited for what sounded like a really fun, food and drink filled morning followed by some great films.

Unfortunately we were not at all impressed by the food on offer.

The films however were of course great, and the atmosphere in the cinema room was lovely.

The seating was very uncomfortable though, I would suggest providing big comfy pillows as it was not possible to sit comfortably for 4 hours!

Also, going forward we'll change the scheduling so that food starts earlier and we'll be more emphatic with our communication re.
