I’m heavily influenced by all pioneers of music who reflect their own consciousness through music and always create their own grooves that define or share their own time.

I’ve experienced music from lot of different aspects, but when I create music, whatever the style or genre I fall into at that time, I always reflect upon my environment and create my own groove in it.

I’ve been making music with Leonidas for the last 2~3 years.

I also make music with fellow London based Japanese DJ Koichi Sakai as Afrobuddha.

Koichi is definitely one of the most vital promoters in Afrobeat / World music scene in London and we’ve been working with various African musicians over the years.

It’s all and more, but I’ll start with the food… pictured is the Wasabi Salmon Salad.

Which is Scottish salmon with crispy skin, wild rocket, red onion, avocado and shiso with Wafu (citrus soy sauce & sesame oil) dressing.

The menu also includes Aburi Mackerel (flame seared fillet of mackerel with Shiso, Mooli and English mustard) and Aburi Salmon Uramaki (wild rocket, shiso, red pepper and avocado, topped with Scottish salmon seared by a blow-torch).

But, and it is a BIG BUT, the food isn’t the main reason to go to Brilliant Corners… The main reason to go is simply one of the best sound systems in London!

Great food, a fantastic wine and beer selection and an interesting soundtrack on an amazing-sounding sound system.

About Brilliant Corners is bar and restaurant on Kingsland Road in Hackney, open six days a week, for dinner service only.

They house one of London's only audiophile soundsystems, and each night of the week, some of the most searching local and international record collectors select music for the room.

This Dalston restaurant-bar has a strong Japanese theme running through it, serving dishes inspired by the country’s izakayas – small, casual pubs serving cooked snacks.

The dishes on offer range from light bites like edamame beans and lotus root crisps, to salads (red cabbage wakame) and sides (chicken kara-age), but the main attraction is the impressive selection of sushi, maki, sashimi and a beef teppanyaki and tuna katsu, plus tofu dishes and tempura.
