My husband and I were passing through London from Lancashire to France and meeting up for a late Sunday lunch with our son and daughter and their partners.
Large platefuls of roast meat and vegetables with endless supplies of extra gravy and the cauliflower cheese was most tasty and noteworthy.
The yam vegetarian option was also tasty.
The only drawback was the slight dryness of the yorkshires and some of the veg but this often happens with late afternoon Sunday roasts and would have been reflected in the price.

Providing a charming elegance, the 4-star hotel is located near the West End with more than 200 rooms with various sleeping capacities.
Thirteen Family Rooms and 10 Luxury Suites are best suited for families with more room to spread out and to accommodate groups.
The hotel provides complimentary Wi-Fi, and features onsite dining at Steak & Lobster, which is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The restaurant also features a traditional English tea each afternoon, and serves breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. on weekdays, and 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on weekends.

This 330-room hotel is located close to many of the major tube and rail stations in central London, and offers luxury rooms at a reasonable rate.
The Steak & Lobster restaurant is popular and stylish, the gym has modern equipment, and there are 11 different conference rooms for business travelers.
The most notable downside of the Grafton is the small rooms, which are in need of better sound protection from exterior street noise.

The food policy has reverted to made-on-the-premises.
And we hope this is a permanent decision, because The Grafton is currently dishing out some of the best food in Kentish Town.
Steak, expertly cooked and using exceptionally good beef, comes in three sizes ranging in price from £9 for 225g to £16 for 300g – a clever policy, since people have varying appetites for unadorned red meat.
And best of all was a dish of braised short ribs (£14) with carrots and carrot purée.
If the weather’s good, the small roof terrace is the only place to be.
