Butterscotch Bakery is part of the Feed Your Soul family, specialising in heartfelt American food.

From Stax Diner in Soho dishing up 28 day dry-aged beef burgers and duffin sundaes (as featured on Adam Richman's Secret Eats); to nostalgic Boondocks Restaurant with our chicken and waffles and chocolate chip pancake brunch special; to The Famous Flames, our fun wings and burgers takeaway--Butterscotch Bakery offers the best of American treats you can find this side of the pond.

We started Butterscotch Bakery as an online ordering site only and have now expanded to our first cafe site in West Works, White City Place.

Bea Vo is the managing and creative director of Stax Diner, Boondocks Restaurant, The Famous Flames, as well as Butterscotch Bakery.

A native of Virginia, Bea founded her first concept and namesake, Bea's of Bloomsbury, which garnered accolades for cakes and afternoon tea in 2008, and left in 2013 to start Stax Diner.

As our cakes are baked fresh to order, last minute amendments might not be possible, but we will try our best.

Cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting or fresh fruit topping should be refrigerated, but should be left to sit out at room temperature for at least 30 minutes for the best taste.

Cakes with a cream cheese frosting or fresh fruit topping should be refrigerated and taken out at least an hour before serving for the best taste.

For boxes of 12 cupcakes or more as well as cake, your treats will arrive in bespoke Kraft printed logo boxes, along with ribbon and card.

We plan to add pies and cobblers to the menu when our White City Bakery opens later this year.

Famous Flames - Halal Girl About Town

food

Before BW knew it, we were on our way to Famous Flames in Camden and I was dying for just a tiny little bite to satisfy that burger itch.

Although the latter two have very similar menus, Famous Flames is the black sheep of the family and specialises in an assortment of wings, crispy fried chicken tenders, and burgers served in the famous Martin’s Potato Rolls (think Shake Shack buns).

I guess I’m so used to halal burgers being the size of my head, that I was shocked to see Famous Flame’s cheeseburger being so cute and bitesize, very similar to that of Burgeri’s.

Tucking in, I immediately picked up on the juiciness of the patty, the way the soft potato bun just squidged when biting in, and the creaminess of the tangy “comeback” sauce (fancy burger sauce), and actually preferred Famous Flame’s cheeseburger to it’s older siblings, Stax and Boondocks.

The service was quite slow, given that the restaurant was completely empty on a Saturday afternoon, and I did balk a little when I saw that the tiny burger cost £5.50, but I guess that would be a given as normal gourmet halal burgers cost £8 upwards!

A stylish chicken shop with a retro music theme?

She’s carried over the chicken and waffles from her previous joints and there are chicken tenders on the menu too.

But the main draw here is multi-flavoured wings, some slicker than others.

The spicy buffalo wings, served with a tart blue cheese dip, were also a memorable treat.

It is a chicken shop, after all.
