Well, there’s no better way than to catch up over some juicy koobideh, so I booked dinner at Apadana, a classic Persian establishment that I have not visited in over 10 years!
Humongous boneless pieces of baby chicken that had been marinated in a saffron, lemon, and yoghurt sauce before being placed on the grill to cook.
Although the chicken was deliciously juicy and succulent, I felt that the aromatic saffron and lemony zing had not infused well enough into the meat, which is a shame considering how well it had been cooked.
A little pricey for a casual dinner, but is expected as Apadana is located in the prime area of Kensington.
While I enjoyed my dinner and would probably drag BW along with me the next time we are in the area, I would rank Apadana somewhere in the middle if I had to compare it to all the other Persian restaurants out there in London.
