From what started as a pop up in 2017 between two local businesses, Little Nans Bar & Masala Wala Cafe, the end of the year saw the creation of a new venture, Deptford Esquire.
An intimate bar/restaurant with a strong focus on craft beer, cocktails and damn tasty food.
The food offering is Pakistani with British influences, expect classic comfort dishes with robust south Asian flavours.
A traditional Deptford pub room in the front where you can drink and relax through to the dining room where family pictures adorn the walls with subtle exotic touches.

Little Nan’s Bar and Masala Wala Café opening a pub and curry house.
‘Lahore meets London’ is the tagline for this pub and curry house at the top end of Deptford High Street, which is the union of Little Nan’s Bar and Masala Wala Café.
These two are stars of the local scene, almost as iconic as Deptford’s anchor outside.
Whistle Pils from local Villages brewery was the pick of the bunch on tap, while ‘Deptford Love Juice Lager’ on the menu turned out to be just Red Stripe.
So, neither pub nor curry house atmosphere have been unlocked, but for a local bite and pint, it’s anchors aweigh!
