Ingredients 500g baby spinach 2 large sweet peppers, roughly chopped 6 large fresh tomatoes, roughly chopped A handful of olives, halved 4 sun-dried tomatoes, halved 200g cubed pancetta Fish of your choosing- Danny recommends firm white fish, scallops, hake, tiger prawns, salmon, and bouchon mussels.
Add the peppers and sun-dried tomatoes and fry for a few minutes, then add the olives and fresh tomatoes.
Cook the sauce down until the tomatoes start to disintegrate, then add the spinach at the last minute so it wilts.
Start with a spoon of sauce in the bottom of a baking dish, then dot around the scallops and small pieces of white fish like hake.
Once you reach the top of the lasagne dish, finish the final pasta layer with more sauce and the prawns and bouchon.

For bacon rolls stuffed with seared scallops, acorn-fed ham with tumblers of sherry and insanely good toasted cheese sandwiches, seek out London’s less well-known markets.
I was on a bus to Camden recently in search of a new ‘bayou-styled’ restaurant, me and a bus full of Italian tourists, all shrieking ‘Cam-deng-TOWN’ at the top of their excitable voices.
As the market has flourished, the road has sprouted excellent restaurants and cafes: cute little deli, L’Epicerie, or Swedish-flavoured Cooper& Wolf.
Fortified, we go on to share some of London’s finest smoked salmon from Hansen and Lydersen (a side of which is my idea of the perfect gift) and a genuinely heroic Reuben from Monty’s Deli – layer upon layer of rosy, home-cured salt beef, brined for six days in their special cure and then outdoor-smoked for seven hours, tangy sauerkraut and Swiss cheese oozing from chewy rye bread.
But the hardcore have moved further along the road, disenchanted that those boring ‘real people’ have managed to find Maltby St. So if you want to see the rarefied foodie at play, it has to be Spa Terminus for Italian goodies and pristine produce from Natoora, cheeses from Mons, the most insanely good toasted cheese sandwiches from Kappacasein.

There are two sides to Climpson, a tiny fixture in Broadway Market serving some of the capital’s best coffee.
If you take sugar in your brew, it will be added by the barista, not by you.
And the coffee will be served in a paper cup – ceramic just would not be practical – which inevitably fails to do full justice to it.
It’s merely a warning to anyone who wants to savour the goods under optimal conditions.
If you can, visit during the week and enjoy tasty little dishes both sweet and savoury (the soups are always very good), and drink coffee from ceramic cups – and add your own sugar.

So with the street food revolution in full swing, it’s time for a quick tour of London’s top street food markets.
Along with great produce – cheese, bread, cider, fresh fish and meat, your nose will be guided by delicious smells of venison burgers, Lebanese falafel, goat stew, Indian vegetarian street food and some of the most delicious scotch eggs around!

A little different from some of the options, at this market it’s less about street food, and more about stopping at a cute independent eatery for a bite.
Nearest Tube: Old Street, Liverpool Street or Shoreditch High Street (overground) One of the few food markets right in the heart of Central London, this one has history too, dating back to 1778!
