The latest opening from restaurateur siblings Zoë and Layo Paskin — Evelyn’s Table at The Blue Posts — has been announced for Thursday 8 February.
The eleven-seat, subterranean kitchen bar will adopt the Modern European style, and will be overseen by chef Nacho Pinilla (formerly of The Barbary; tapas bar, Copita; and gastropub, The Bull Last).
Pinilla’s “seasonally-inspired and locally sourced menu” will always include around ten dishes, priced between £8-22, available in either the sharing style or or as à la carte.
A bin-ends section will showcase a number of rarer wines, which are available only “in tiny allocations.”
Two tables adjacent to the kitchen bar have also been added.

2) The pub that would become The Blue Posts was founded in what would become Chinatown.
It boasts the same high ceilings and large windows it’s had for the last 275 years, and’s been given a makeover with leather barstools, dark green walls, and a brushed metal bar.
Then head upstairs to, THE MULWRAY Named for the character Evelyn Mulwray (played by Faye Dunaway in Chinatown), The Mulwray is a richly decorated cocktail lounge; dark velvets, marble and satin brass details contrasting with furnishings in soft pink.
Head down into the beer cellar, and instead of beer you’ll find, EVELYN’S TABLE Named after (you guessed it) Faye Dunaway’s character in Chinatown, this is an intimate chef’s table space, with only 11 seats surrounding a small kitchen space, where dishes are passed from the range straight to the guest.
NOTE: The Blue Posts is open 5pm-11pm (midnight Fri/Sat), and The Evelyn is due to open early next year.

Which, should you need to wait for a table, gives you the perfect excuse to survey the top-floor bar, The Mulwray, and its refined cocktail list first, to whet your appetite for the rare wines from small-scale producers they’ve picked out for Evelyn’s.
Named after Faye Dunaway’s character in the film Chinatown, the intimate chef’s table space shares the same elegant, beautifully designed aesthetic as the two floors above, with the marble dining counter surrounded by muted walls, and topped by retro brass lamps, and smart, bespoke plates… The latter of which you’re handed directly by the chefs in the snug kitchen space, who dutifully top them with combinations like polenta bramata with Mammole artichoke; cuttlefish ragout; Brussels sprouts with oyster sauce and sesame; and rock salt filled with beef and bone marrow.
NOTE: Evelyn’s Table is open Mon-Sat, 5-11pm from February 8th.

Get ready, because the hottest new table in town is about to open for bookings.
The main pub and cocktail bar opened late last year and now it's the turn of the downstairs restaurant.
It's a small affair, the bar seating only eleven and much like the two restaurants before it, it's all about counter dining - but this time you will be able to book.
And you can wait in the cocktail bar until your seats are ready - which is always a good excuse for a cocktail.
It's all led by Head Chef Nacho Pinilla (The Barbary, Copita, The Bull & Last) is in charge of the kitchen and here's what's on offer from the menu of about 10 dishes: The restaurant will also have a separate wine list.

It comes from the team behind The Palomar and The Barbary, so it’s pretty exciting stuff, and we reckon there’s going to be some hot competition for those seats.
The whole seating area consists of an 11-seat marble countertop in the former beer cellar of The Blue Posts, with two side tables bringing the seat count up to 15.
The 18th Century pub (The Blue Posts) on the ground floor, was restored last year, and there’s a separate cocktail bar upstairs.
There are around 10 dishes per day on the regularly changing menu – it’ll depend on what’s in season and available.
Before your meal, you can wait in The Blue Posts or the first-floor bar, called The Mulwray.
