Eat & Drink at Den, Boutique Hotel London - St Martins Lane Hotel
Welcome to The Den, a classically British, oak-panelled snug at St Martins Lane.
It's the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea, curl up with a book, play a game of backgammon or catch up with friends over a Gin & Tonic.
An ideal meeting place in the heart of Covent Garden, The Den’s laid back atmosphere is complemented by comfortable leather sofas and warm lighting.
A series of surreal and playful art pieces riffed on classic British scenarios also adorn the walls, bringing the room to life with a touch of British eccentricity.
For those in the mood for something stronger, the bar team has created a special Gin & Tonic menu, inspired by the off-kilter artwork on the walls with each drink reflecting an element of the portraits.

I was excited to fly Virgin Atlantic departing London again, both because I love Virgin Atlantic’s ground services, and because I love their onboard product: Anyway, we arrived at London Heathrow Terminal 3 at around 9:30AM, and tried to find the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Wing.
I’d say other than the champagne selection, the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse beats the British Airways Concorde Room in just about every way (and that lounge is exclusively for first class passengers).
On top of that, Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class Wing is an awesome concept which makes the airport arrival and security experience much more pleasant.

Perhaps it was the early kick off time, or the fact it was Boxing Day, but there were very few home supporters around.
What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the Den?
With 2 goals in 50-odd games for Wolves, when he shaped up to shoot, few people, myself included, expected the ball to fly into the top corner.
The thought of spending 12 hours on Boxing Day travelling to, watching, and travelling back from, Millwall v Wolves might not be to everyone’s taste, but I enjoyed it.
The Den is a small, compact, claustrophobic ground, with at times the atmosphere to go with it.

Covent Garden Boutique Hotel in London - St Martins Lane Hotel

Located in the bustling Theatre district in London’s Covent Garden, St Martins Lane, is a dramatic and daring evolution on English luxury.
This boutique hotel retains all the youthful, unexpected charm of a London hideaway, at the very heart of the energetic West End.
The décor is warm and sophisticated with a tongue-in-cheek British flair – even the art on the walls is irreverent, animating the space with larger-than-life portraits and visual puns.
During your stay, you can also enjoy an invigorating workout at Gymbox Covent Garden, London’s most unorthodox fitness experience or go for a striking new look at London's finest hairdressers at the neighbouring Jones & Payne salon.
Valet parking also available at £5 per transfer.

The LoungeUp a set of stairs, we arrived at the Clubhouse entrance and were quickly admitted to the lounge.
Virgin has done a tremendous job with the interior design and layout of the space, in my opinion.
This is no cookie-cutter lounge - it's imbued with Virgin's posh style and originality.
We entered around 6:45am, shortly after the lounge had opened.
There's a communal high-top table leading toward the restaurant.
Sweet success for Bad Brownie after tempting backers on Dragons ...
desserts food
When plates of their sticky gourmet chocolate brownies are passed around the Dragons, Morag Ekanger and Paz Sarmah know they’ve caught the attention of the business people they’re looking to secure a £60,000 investment from.
Founded by two former colleagues who bonded over hot chocolates during afternoon breaks at a branding agency in west London, Bad Brownie is the product of Ekanger’s and Sarmah’s passion for chocolate and strong desire to work for themselves.
Their obsession has turned into a delicious path as entrepreneurs, with their gooey brownies, slapped with calorific ingredients such as salted caramel, peanut butter and dark chocolate, sold at about 10 to 15 sites a week including Selfridges food hall.
The retail veteran, who could also envisage their dream of opening a Bad Brownie retail outlet, stepped in and offered the sum, but for a 35% share of business – much higher than the 15% they had hoped for.
Whatever the shape, thanks to Suleyman’s investment, there’ll be further Bad Brownie fans emerging as the brand expands its chocolatey goodness.
