The restaurant was pretty much empty when we arrived, we chose three main dishes, rice and the sharing starter between the three of us.

From the point the first bottle of wine went down the staff were hanging over us, pouring it out, after any person had a sip.

Plates were cleaqred as each person finished their meal, regardless of the others eating.

I like attentive but this was factory line. The manager could not have encouraged her staff more to push through the courses and by the end of the meal, after a rushed dinner, we were asked if we wanted the bill (having only just been served another bottle of wine) because there were other people waiting to be seated.

After an apologetic smile as she realised we were still swallowing the main course the bill arrived, along with our coats. As I left, I made it clear that this was awful customer service and her reaction was to simply talk past me in Thai and collect the next tables drinks.I will never, ever, go back to this place again.

"I was with my friend for dinner tonight, everything was fine until the waitress dropped the oil on the floor.

All oli spilled over my new shirt and my hair.

I didn’t even hear a word, I'm sorry.

This Covent Garden Thai restaurant has been going for more than 20 years.

During that time it's garnered a bit of a reputation for serving inexpensive Thai food from its venue right behind the National Opera House.

The food menu features plenty of well-known Thai dishes, with green, red and massaman curries alongside Thai salads, tom yum soups, pad Thai noodles and gai ta kai - a stir fry of chicken with blended lemongrass, ginger, garlic and fish sauce.

Set menus are available, too.

Half bottles are also available.
