Clerkenwell Grind is an all day and late night restaurant in an old warehouse building in Clerkenwell at 2-4 Old Street.

Downstairs at Clerkenwell is the Club Bar, our late night bar and events space open until 2am.

Bookings & Reservations At all times we keep a few tables free for walk-ins.

Weekend Brunch - Saturdays and Sundays, 11am-5pm For weekend brunch, there is a maximum group size of 8 people for brunch bookings.

For weekend brunch bookings, we politely ask for the table back after 90 minutes – which should be more than enough time to enjoy your brunch.

Grind has a new addition to the family – Clerkenwell.

Following openings in Soho, Shoreditch, Holborn, London Bridge, Covent Garden, Royal Exchange and Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell Grind is located in an old warehouse on Old Street – a stone’s throw from Barbican and Old Street stations.

Pun lovers will delight with the names on the cocktail menu – Appley Married and Bananaruma, eh?

Among those sampled on my visit was the citrusy Penicillin and the Old Street Fashioned, which packs a helluva punch.

Or if you are one of those pun lovers we talked about, go for the Sticky Coffee Pudding to get your kicks.

Melbourne-based Biasol designed the latest version of the eight-location London Grind by Grind & Co The Clerkenwell Grind is a lofty two-story space in a 1870s warehouse located at 2-4 Old Street in Clerkenwell.

The on-trend soft colours – blues and pinks – and feminine, curved shapes are balanced with rough floor boards and more angular chevron patterns.

Rind & Co is not a typical coffee chain as many of the locations are in historical buildings, some cooperate with resident recording studios (Shoredith and Tape) and host club nights.

In 2015, the company raised £1,340,000 (nearly double their £750,000 target) through crowdfunding to build a state-of-the-art coffee roastery to supply coffee to its locations.

The new Grind HQ and Roastery is in Shoreditch, a few minutes’ walk from the original Shoreditch Grind location on Old Street Roundabout.

But don’t worry, we have a much simpler solution than buying a sports car, emigrating or making a regrettable tattoo choice: simply head down to Old Street to find yourself in a completely new Grind instead.

And as the most ambitious offering yet from the team behind Shoreditch Grind (…and five other successful branches…and a roastery…and a recording studio), trust us, it could easily become a daily habit.

Taking up residence in a former warehouse on Old Street, the all-day restaurant, bar and nightclub has a glamorous mid-century throwback feel, with a colour scheme that could be described as “Instagram”.

But come the evening, there’s plenty of space at the bar to sample some classic Grind cocktails (including a mean espresso martini), which will of course put you in the perfect mood to head downstairs to… THE CLUB A subterranean dancing den that stays open until 2am, serving up even more cocktails and music spun by Grind-approved collaborators and guests from the recording studio.
