Benito's Hat – Some of the Best Burritos & Margaritas in London
Benito’s Hat started with a small store in Goodge Street in London, lovingly conceived by Ben Fordham and Felipe Fuentes Cruz, our founders.
Ben and Felipe were passionate about bringing simple, fresh Mexican food to the UK that was both authentic and modern.
Since then we have opened 6 more stores in the UK, all of them being true to the original ideals that have made Benito’s Hat into one of the most loved up and coming Mexican brands in the country.
From the beginning, Benito’s Hat dedicated itself to serving simple, fresh food that is quick and tasty.
Whether it is a breakfast taco and coffee, a quick ‘grab-and-go’ for the business crowd, a break from a day’s shopping to recharge, or a fulfilling meal and a few margaritas to kick start an evening out, Benito’s Hat offers a welcoming, character-filled environment throughout the day.

REVIEW: The Benito's Hat Lobster Burrito! - Food Goblin
food menu
Cue the new offering from Benito’s Hat, a lobster burrito!
Paired alongside this, they have also launched fish specials with new fish tacos, burritos and salads also on the menu, served with slaw and chipotle mayonnaise, available in all of the 6 restaurants.
Benito’s Hat prides itself on fresh ingredients and this was definitely noticeable in the tacos and burrito as well as the new Verdita Margarita.
The lobster burrito will be available after 5pm only as part of the evening menu at Benito’s Hat (excluding King’s Cross) whilst the fish specials will be available all day.
Start by ordering a couple of Verdita margaritas while you wait for the the fish tacos, then get ready for the real feast of the lobster burrito (and maybe another margarita to wash it all down with.
Benito's Hat review – Fitzrovia burritos & tacos | The Picky Glutton
food drinks value menu desserts
Although it’s still not especially common, it’s now much easier to find thanks to eateries like Benito’s Hat which has branches in Fitzrovia and Covent Garden.
Seasoned Fitzrovians will know that on weekday lunchtimes rival burrito purveyor Freebird has a stand just around the corner from Benito’s Hat on Goodge Place (there’s also another stand on the corner of Brewer Street and Rupert Street in Soho).
The meat in Freebird’s pork burrito has a nice citrusy tang to it, but it lacks the smoky flavour found in Benito’s version and there isn’t as much meat either.
Although Freebird’s burritos are around a pound cheaper than Benito’s, the Hat has the edge thanks to its better tasting, bigger servings of meat.
Total cost for one person including soft drink: £14 approx (cost based on one burrito or three tacos plus dessert and a soft drink).
