Haché Clapham

We landed in Clapham in 2011, to prove that while there are plenty of burger joints, there is only one Haché.

We love the community around Clapham, the sense of closeness and how we’ve been received; the buzz and hustle of the Common with amazing events like SW4, and all the familiar faces we see in the restaurant.

In 2017, we had a eureka moment: the good people of Clapham deserved to enjoy Haché not just for lunch or dinner, but for breakfast and brunch too!

I didn’t understand their refusal for pictures but I tell you what, I might have just ate the best fish burger… ever.

It’s going to be a little different from my other restaurant reviews, in that I was not allowed to take pictures in this burger place.

Duck, lamb, fish and anything you can put between two pieces of flour How many ways can you dress a burger up anyway?

Not that fish burger is a rarity in any case, while I do love the angus option at Burger king, I tend to enjoy their ocean’s catch a lot more.

I have got to say, this is an excellent fish burger that is well-executed, probably the best I’ve ever and miles better than an ocean’s catch.

They’ve got a load of different branches across the city but only a few so far that do brunch so I took a day trip on Sunday over to Chelsea to give it a try!

Haché are best known for their yummy Parisian style burgers and the brunch menu is a new addition to their offering, so I was keen to see if it lived up to the rest of their delish menu!

Oh, and I added some extra avocado just for good measure 😉 Ali had the signature Brunch Burger – a steak burger with bacon, fried egg, and sweet potato hash brown, topped off with some seriously yummy coffee-ketchup!

I’m sure I’ll be back again to try more of their brunch choices (avocado on toast, of course) and fingers crossed the brunch menu launches in some of their other North London branches near me soon!

The Haché Brunch Menu is now available in their Chelsea, Balham and Clapham branches.
