Opening our doors in 2001, The Century Club encompasses the perfect place to work, rest and play in the heart of Soho, London.
Discreetly hidden behind our modest front door on Shaftesbury Avenue, and aptly named ‘Century’ after our one hundred steps, you will find four floors of exclusive member’s facilities, including our pièce de résistance – Soho’s largest rooftop terrace, with views taking in the heart of the West End.

Whether you have a membership to one, have visited as a guest, or have simply seen the photos, we all have an idea of what a private member's club is like in London.
However, it’s safe to say when I went to check out Century Club’s restaurant on a weeknight in November, I was more than pleasantly surprised – I was truly impressed.
Open since 2001, The Century Club — which hides behind an unmarked black door on Shaftesbury Avenue — calls itself “London’s best kept secret.”
Enter to a reception, then climb up the aptly-named club’s 100 steps to find four floors of members’ facilities, including a rooftop terrace and various lounges.
We rounded the meal off with some Century Club chocolate truffles and the Century Apple (£8), a unique take on an apple crumble that comes in a mousse-like form in the shape of the fruit.

Among the almost one hundred diverse Private Member clubs that the UK’s capital has to offer, the Century Club in Soho, is London’s best kept secret when it comes to ‘members only’ establishments.
The Century appears to be one of the Private Member Clubs that a man or woman about town would be able to hit after work, to indulge in a few of their fine cocktails.
The Century Club also boasts Soho’s largest roof terrace where they will often host member exclusives, and also guest parties where you can dance under the stars as you indulge in one of London’s skyline views.
Not to mention the fact that when you become a member at Century, you gain access to the Club’s own permanent art collection and members events, including: talks, networking drinks, private screenings, music showcases, and themed members parties.
The Century club is in fact the largest Private Member club in Soho, covering over 15,000 square ft. Here you will be able to network with some of the around 2000 different members that grace the Century.

It‘s hard to turn a corner on a London street these days without coming across an establishment billing itself as a private members‘ club, which makes it that much more gratifying when you finally find a club worth its salt, and The Century Club is undoubtedly one such place.
Originally launched in Soho in 2001, it has stood alongside Soho House and Groucho Club as one of the most important members clubs‘ in the neighbourhood and exudes everything you want from such a place: attentive hospitality, a cool yet salubrious design, an edge of exclusivity and, most importantly, like-minded and interesting members.
The Century Club derives its name from the 100 steps of its staircase that span five floors to its excellent rooftop terrace bar (the largest in the area), which boasts a retractable rooftop in case of inclement weather and comes in handy during the winter months.
As you ascend you‘ll realise that the Century Club is a massive venue, in fact it‘s the largest private members‘ club in Soho, covering over 15,000 feet.
In addition to the rooftop terrace bar, the Century Club boasts two other cocktail lounges with skilled mixologists, a cinema/screening room, a performance stage, two restaurants, a private dining room and a bespoke nightclub.

I’ve worked and played a lot in Soho since the late 1970s and somehow The Century Club has passed me by.
So when I was invited to review I was keen to fill the gap in my Soho Opening its doors in 2001, the club sits behind a discrete front door on Shaftesbury Avenue, and gets its name ‘Century’ from the one hundred steps you can climb to access four floors of exclusive member’s facilities; these include three cocktails bars, a screening room and a restaurant.
Steve’s Vodka Sour, a blend of Ketel One, Angostura Bitters, egg white, lemon juice and sugar syrup, had a cold citric sharpness combined with a strong vodka kick.
Steve’s 30 day dry-aged Speyside Aberdeen Angus 13 oz Ribeye Steak had lots of flavour from the charcoal Josper grill but needed the fat to have been rendered down a bit more.
With chef Ghani’s North African influences shining through in many of the plates, The Century Club offers a sophisticated, global dining space away from the hurly-burly of Soho.

This private members’ club has been hiding in plain sight behind an ambiguous door on Shaftsbury Avenue since 2001.
Cross the threshold and you’ll find a haven from the city’s hustle and bustle (if you’re a member, of course).
Century Club's piece de resistance is its roof terrace, which offers all-weather access and views across the London skyline.
There’s an array of other spaces to enjoy, too, including a New York-inspired brasserie called the Tap Room, a cocktail lounge and rooms for private hire.
