Following a mini refurbishment at the end of January, VQ Chelsea has now reopened its doors to a revamped interior boasting warm wood paneling and comfortable leather banquettes and booths in addition to an updated menu.

Joe Mercer Nairne (Head Chef and Co-owner at Medlar) has come on board to act as a Consultant Chef at VQ resulting in an updated menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Busby Webb, the team behind recently reviewed Samarkand‘s stunning interiors, have created yet another vibrant space at VQ Chelsea staying true to the clean lines and angled look of VQ style with the addition of a feature light wall helping to enhance the ambience of the space placing an emphasis on the movement of light and changing colour spectrum throughout the day.

VQ Chelsea is one of the few places you can enjoy an exceptionally high quality all-day breakfast.

VQ Chelsea is a Fulham Road institution serving 10,000 customers every month and it’s not hard to see why based on the high quality food and friendly staff.

How VQ Restaurants reinvented 24-hour dining

Back away from the kebab – VQ Restaurants have reinvented 24-hour dining to show that, while it does do a mean burger, dining in the wee small hours doesn’t have to mean unhealthy fast food ‘I think people love it because it has become something of an institution now,’ says founder of VQ, Simon Prideaux.

Starting its life as Up All Night, the Chelsea venue (there are also branches in Bloomsbury and Notting Hill) seems like the perfect place for the creativity and excitement of the current and modern VQ.

With the option of a lamb burger complete with feta, rocket, pomegranate, aioli, red onion and cumin jam, or the poached eggs, avocado and chilli jam from the 24-hour breakfast menu, this isn’t fast food.

Instead, VQ is very much a quality restaurant at heart – just one that serves good food all night long.

Everything seems on fast forward; Prideaux and his team noticed a gap in the market, threw their passions into filling it and are excited about continuing to ramp up the thrill around good quality 24-hour dining.

Restaurant Review: VQ Notting Hill | The Soulmates Blog

VQ (Vingt-Quatre) Notting Hill is one of three of its kind in London (Bloomsbury and Chelsea being the other two venues), and takes pride in providing classic comfort dishes to satisfy all tastes at any time of day or night.

Whilst it is the only branch not open 24 hours, you’ll still find it open until the early hours of the morning, meaning that if (like me) you happen to be ravenous at a usually unsociable hour, VQ Notting Hill is what you need.

Since VQ prides itself on its breakfast, I felt it extremely necessary to go for the Full English Breakfast, which included a fried egg, toasted English muffin, Cumberland sausage, crispy bacon, grilled tomato, mushroom and baked beans.

All in all, VQ Notting Hill was an extremely pleasant experience.

As someone who rarely plans ahead when it comes to date night, wandering around the city with a starving date until late, in the hope that ‘maybe we’ll find somewhere soon’, VQ Notting Hill is the perfect solution, meaning I’ll always be able to say ‘I know this great place that’s definitely open’.

VQ Chelsea | Fulham Road London Bar Reviews and Bookings ...

Vingt-Quatre in Chelsea is an un-assuming local restaurant by day but by night it turns into your naughty little brother.

As the Chelsea bar's name suggests, Vingt-Quatre is open 24 hours every single day of the week.

It's is one of very few 24 hour bars in London and the perfect spot for those who don't want the party to end.

For the peckish Vingt-Quatre has a delicious food menu including their 24 hour breakfast which is perfect for those battling a hangover.

By daytime, Vingt-Quatre is ideal for a date, a cup of coffee or dinner with the family.

Food Review: Day or night a warm buzz awaits at VQ in Chelsea ...

Situated in the heart of the busy Fulham Road, 24-hour café and diner VQ as it now calls itself, formerly known as Vingt-Quatre, prides itself on serving classic dishes to suit every taste in a relaxed environment for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

As well as their legendary all-day (and night) breakfast menu featuring everything from bubble ’n’ squeak to eggs Benedict, diners can choose from an irresistible selection of burgers, salads, pasta, mains and sharing plates.

A full late night refreshment licence means they never have to close, and champagne, wine, beer and cocktails are always on tap.

There was already a warm buzz about the place when I visited at peak time for Sunday brunch with the comfy red leather banquette lining the walls at the front of the restaurant filling up quickly.

That is the kind of beauty and appeal of this long standing Fulham Road resident, the way it balances the different dining moods and appeal during a 24 hour cycle from relaxed daytime hangout to late night hot spot so successfully – it does what it says on the tin with regards to its concept.
