Brockley’s Rock is a Fish Shop with more than just Cod and Chips in mind.

The MSC certification is the recognition that the fish we sell is caught in a sustainable and ethical manner.

We would like to announce that we've recently recieved the Fish and Chip Quality Award.

This award is given to chip shops that serve delicious, sustainable food in a professional and hygienic environment.

We've worked hard over the years to ensure that the quality of our food and our shop doesn't falter, and we're going to keep it up.

London 100% Gluten Free Leggero Review ⋆ Forever Free From

La Polenteria was also 100% Gluten Free and many of the dishes were centered around polenta – the Italian cornbread.

The Leggero menu takes inspiration from the English meaning of Leggero – ‘Light’ – by offering greater diversity including several lighter dishes.

If you have eaten at La Polenteria before fear not, there are new desserts, but the gluten free Tiramisu remains.

Leggero very clearly indicates what allergens are present in each dish on their online and in-house menus, making it so easy to see which dishes are suitable.

Featuring prominently within many of the main dishes currently on the menu is the Leggero homemade sorghum pasta.

Where To Eat And Drink In... Brockley | Londonist

Brockley’s best coffee is found at Browns of Brockley, the pint-sized cafe opposite Brockley station.

You can put together a street food feast from some of London’s finest traders here: regulars include Mother Flipper burgers, Van Dough pizzas, Mike & Ollie, Sub Cult deli subs and Spit & Roast chicken.

Move downstairs into the warren of rooms for a “Gantry burger” (beef, veggie or fish) or classics like risotto and pan-fried duck breast.

The Talbot is the highlight of Brockley’s pubs, with its spread of outdoor picnic tables, solid gastropub dishes and great drinks selection – expect everything from local ales to Chapel Down fizz.

At this bar without a bar you can order a range of on-tap ales, plus bottles and wines, all over a giant keg.

A Brockley fish and chip shop is the first restaurant in the capital – and one of the first in the country – to offer newly certified Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) sustainable North Sea cod.

Over a decade since stocks came close to collapse, North Sea cod caught by Scottish and English boats was awarded MSC certification in July.

The news means that – subject to strict traceability requirements – North Sea cod can now be sold in restaurants and takeaways bearing the MSC ‘blue tick’ label, indicating that it is sustainable and fully traceable.

Kyri comments, “I’m really proud to be the first to offer Londoners a taste of MSC sustainable North Sea cod.

George Clark, UK Senior Commercial Manager for MSC, adds, “Since news broke of North Sea cod’s MSC certification, there’s been a huge amount of enthusiasm from fish lovers wanting to buy it.

There's more to this fish and chip shop in Brockley than deep-fried cod, rock, plaice and chips.

Expect, then, things like seafood platters of calamari, whitebait, prawns, scampi and fish cakes alongside marinated, grilled whole sea bass, fillet of salmon with sesame seeds and teriyaki sauce, and marinated tiger prawns served with salad.

And if you want to dine in and tuck into classic cod and chips with mushy peas, a pickled egg and a saveloy on the side?
