Nestled in between Hampstead and Belsize Park, opposite the Royal Free Hospital and just a stone’s throw from Hampstead Heath, the Roebuck is a traditional local pub that has been welcoming people since Victorian times.

We pride ourselves on always offering the warmest of welcomes, so whether you’re a local resident or a visitor to the area you’ll always be greeted with a smile.

We serve simple, fresh, seasonal British food with a menu full of hearty treats, pub classics and daily changing specials.

To the rear of the pub is our beautiful garden, a true ‘hidden gem’!

Downstairs at the Roebuck you will find Fawn Bar, a beautiful, cosy bar and lounge, perfect for private hire.

The Roebuck Inn, Drayton is a quality traditional village pub situated on the outskirts of Banbury which is 400 years old and bursting with character.

All of the food at The Roebuck Inn is always cooked to order and we only use fresh produce and we try to source it locally when ever possible.

The Roebuck Inn is family friendly and have highchairs available as well as wheel chair access.

Nick celebrated 10 years at the Roebuck on June 7th 2014, he spends his days in the kitchen cooking up wonderful recipes and prides himself on making all his own sauces, pates and soups, sourcing, where possible, ingredients from local suppliers.

The Roebuck is able to cater for any event including weddings, birthday parties etc and of course always has a plentiful supply of Hook Norton beers on tap

The Roebuck | Pubs In Rayleigh - J D Wetherspoon

Over the years, the town’s name has had various spellings, including ‘Rayley’ – from road, the Saxon word for roebuck and a pasture.

A deer featured on Rayleigh’s coat of arms (before the town became part of Rochford District in 1974), and Rayleigh Park was a royal chase, when deer from Rayleigh were introduced into other royal parks.

Review 'The Roebuck': The Roebuck restaurant

Review analysis
food   menu   staff

The Roebuck is a hotel with pub restaurant on the A22 at Wynch Cross, which is to the south of Forest Row in East Sussex.

Originally a 17th century house, it has been sympathetically converted to quite a large hotel, with 28 bedrooms, with a warm and inviting ground floor.

We lined for the meat, warm plate in one hand, protected by conveniently placed paper serviette, with a choice of four meats.

The others managed to clear their plates, I was the only one who could not quite cope with the mastication of the beef.

There are ground floor bedrooms, on the way are the clean, discreet public toilets.
