In 1999, the boys decided that they wanted to bring a high-street, high-quality steak concept to London, Black & Blue, the first modern American steakhouse in the capital, was born.

The Group has gone from strength to strength over its 14-year life with the boys taking the bold decision to move from the high-street to open up 5 more centrally-located and state-of-the-art locations including sites under the arches at Waterloo, Borough Market and the Southbank.

Black Swan Oldstead Michelin Restaurant Yorkshire Tommy Banks ...

More than just a Michelin-starred restaurant with rooms For us at The Black Swan, it’s much more than just Michelin Star food.

The focus is all about where we are and who we are – a reflection of “Oldstead”- traditional Yorkshire with a swirling mix of creativity and eccentricity.

Chef, Tommy Banks’ talent is in itself truly remarkable.

He was Britain’s youngest Michelin-starred chef in 2013 and won Great British Menu in 2016 and 2017.

In October 2017, The Black Swan at Oldstead was awarded the ‘Travellers Choice Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the World’ by TripAdvisor.

Restaurant Review: Black Rabbit Rose and Crying Tiger Are Home ...

As a proud native of Los Angeles, I've spent much of my life challenging out-of-towners who declare certain things as being "only in L.A." However, I admit that the new joint venture by Houston Hospitality and chefs Noree Pla and Fern Kaewtathip of Luv2eat Thai Bistro — Black Rabbit Rose and Crying Tiger — is exactly that.

This establishment actually caters to both needs, and there are two experiences to be had: no-frills takeout from the Crying Tiger window on Hudson Avenue and a leisurely dinner inside Black Rabbit Rose's mysterious, barely lit lounge.

If you don't care for any of this Hollywood magic fancy stuff and just want some good old-fashioned room-temp Thai food out of clamshell containers to pig out on at home, then Crying Tiger may be the takeout window of your dreams.

The Crying Tiger window is located front and center on Hollywood Boulevard, right across the street from the iconic Dolores Del Río mural, so there are plenty of things to keep you entertained while your food is being prepared, assuming you don't want to cough up $30 to catch the live magic show at Black Rabbit Rose.

The Black Rat Restaurant, located on Chesil street at the bottom of the town centre, recently celebrated its tenth year!

Located nearby is our kitchen garden where we grow some of our own herbs and vegetables, all of which helps to inspire the kitchen team to create the menu using wild, unusual and forgotten ingredients.

The Front of House team is a small group of experienced hospitality characters who pride themselves on their personal service styles and, together with Head Chef Jon Marsden-Jones and his Kitchen Team.

The owner, David Nicholson, has been in Winchester since 1995 running The Black Boy Pub just across the road in Wharf Hill.

Black Black - Wikipedia

This article is about the caffeinated Japanese chewing gum.

For the Los Angeles California -based indie rock group, see Blackblack Black Black (ブラックブラック, Burakku Burakku) is a brand of caffeinated chewing gum produced in Japan by Lotte.

The gum's name is derived from its charcoal-like color.

[clarification needed] Ingredients include sugar, starch syrup, grape sugar, erythritol, oolong tea extract, ginkgo extract, chrysanthemum flower extract, gum base, flavorings, coloring agents (cacao, gardenia), caffeine, and nicotinamide.

A persistent urban legend holds that the gum contains nicotine, the misconception stemming from confusion with nicotinamide, a different substance related to the B vitamins.

Black Seed Bagels

We love collaborating with local restaurants to create 'Bagel of the Month' specials for you to enjoy!

Check out this section to learn more about our current collaborations.

January 2018: The Celestine This unique collaboration is with Celestine, a pan-Mediterranean restaurant in Brooklyn.

The Celestine bagel sandwich starts with a rye bagel baked in carob molasses, which is then topped with sautéed mushrooms, mushroom duxelles, pomegranates, persimmon, and hawaij (a Yemeni ground spice) cabbage slaw.

The sandwich will be available at all three of our NYC locations starting on January 1, 2018, and will last through the entire month.

The Black Swan, restaurant review: A Michelin-starred pub in the ...

Boasting a Michelin star and run by the most dynamic combination of brothers since Romulus and Remus, the Black Swan is what food guides used to call a "destination" restaurant.

No sooner have you sat down than a pinkly sensational nasturtium vodkatini is pressed into your hand, and a small procession of pre-dinner "snacks" appears: a couple of wagyu beef sliders – my wife Angie instantly declared hers the best burger she'd ever had; a mixum-gatherum of cep and trompette mushrooms nipped by a vinegar gel; a tartare of scallop on a squid-ink cracker freshened by some cucumber bits; and a frankly stunning combination of grilled quail breast with fermented cabbage, bean sprouts and roasted garlic, all gathered into a saltbaked celeriac taco and held in place by a bloody great nail.

Tom Banks and his wife Anne were farmers here, before working in the bar and restaurant; their son James is the genial front-of-house guy and wine wrangler, while his brother Tommy is head chef.

All the dishes came with wine recommendations from James B. With the scallops he suggested a Chassange Montrachet Vielle Vignes 2011, which I initially resisted (£14 a glass?)

James reappeared with a palate-cleanser of three lollipops that crammed sweet and savoury tastes into tiny spheres: beetroot with cabernet sauvignon vinegar ice cream (hmmm), cep mushroom and chocolate ice cream (fabulous), and apple and rosemary sorbet (revelatory).

A Celebration of Black Southern Food, at JuneBaby in Seattle - The ...

And whenever Edouardo Jordan’s menu offered a dish I’d expect to see at a Southern restaurant, he gave me something better than I’d imagined.

Strictly speaking, shrimp bisque has no business on fish and grits, but if you see the bisque as a tamer, richer stand-in for hot sauce it makes a delicious kind of sense.

If that were all Mr. Jordan had in mind, I would still think JuneBaby is a very good restaurant.

But I paid closer attention when I noticed which parts of the pig he’s cooking.

“Almost nobody likes it,” Josh Ozersky wrote of hog maw in Esquire in 2014, a year before he died.

We became vegetarian for no major reason.

But we liked eating out, and when we went to a restaurant the vegetarian option was mainly mushroom risotto or Halloumi kebabs.

So, we decided to open our own vegetarian restaurant back in 2004.

We set some standards for the food: no dish would rely on pasta, meat substitutes or heavy spicing.

The dishes we create here are forward thinking, our food is challenging.

Restaurant review: Black Horse Inn, Clifton, Brighouse - Yorkshire ...

FOR a quiet pub, the Black Horse Inn sure has star appeal.

The Black Horse Inn owes its star appeal to the fact its location in Clifton near Brighouse is close to the M62 and near enough for stars performing at Batley Variety Club in its hey day to stay.

The Variety Club – later the Frontier – may be no more but the Black Horse Inn is going stronger than ever thanks to its emphasis on quality.

Now the Black Horse Inn has been serving good food and drinks from Clifton – now known as Clifton Village just to hammer home the rural aspect – since the 17th Century.

Now, we went for main and a dessert, rather than starters which I think was a wise choice given the quality of the puddings.
