Marlborough Arms, London • whatpub.com
A traditional pub to suit all tastes perpetually busy with students, business people, tourists and locals from a surprisingly residential area.
A large open area surrounded by oak panelling and some fine features, with the bar pushed to one side making an easy area to fill with tables in regular formation but with a nod to informality and comfort in the small area beyond the bar.
Metal tables and chairs outside under pull out awnings available until 21.00.

location value
It is also the location of the British Museum, the British Library, the campus of University College London, The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and numerous historic homes, parks, and buildings.
Bloomsbury forms the southernmost part of the London Borough of Camden.
With University College London being a dominant presence in Bloomsbury, it is no surprise that there are a lot of bookshops.
The area around Marchmont St and The Brunswick Centre (north of Russell Sq) has claims to be the bookshop capital of London.
Many of the budget hotels are located on Argyle St in the very northern part of the district, nearest tube station: King's Cross St Pancras.

After years of continuous partying in the Westend I've now stopped partying in Central London due to the overpriced door charges and drinks.
Lately I've found that the bars and clubs especially in London have become a lot more pricier for no reason at all, door charges are now in place with most venues, and some especially in Mayfair charge £10 - £20 just to walk in, you don't get anything for that, not even free cloak room facilities, you have to pay to put your coat away too!
However I was invited to Loop for a friends party and was pleasantly surprised to find that we did not have to pay the door charge as we arrived early, also the drinks are reasonably priced and affordable, with some good deals on packages and rounds, tables and booths are plenty here and if you want to take a seat and chill for a bit you can unlike other clubs where you're told to move by bouncers or staff.
Upstairs is a moderate sized bar, and restaurant and downstairs you will find two differently themed rooms, each playing a different music which is great for those who want a choice.
The Loop bar puts the fun back in London.
