That heritage is reflected in the fabric of the hotel itself, a magnificent Edwin Lutyens’ Grade II-listed neo-Georgian building with striking Corinthian pilasters and distinctive red brick lending a stately appearance.
At the start of the 20th century, the neighbourhood was home to The Bloomsbury Set – a clique of artists, writers and intellectuals notorious as much for their bohemian lifestyle as their creativity.
