Crazy Bear | Restaurants in Fitzrovia, London
There's a pan-Asian slant to most of the dishes, with options ranging from dim sum, sushi and Thai soups to crispy Peking duck, lobster spring rolls, soft shell crab tempura and crispy belly of Gloucestershire old spot pork belly served on bacai with pickled ginger and soy chilli dipping sauce.
The cocktail bar also proves popular.
Expect classic martinis, Champagne cocktails, a number of mojitos and Crazy Bear 'classics' such as a ginger bear (Koko Kanu coconut rum, Mozart white chocolate liqueur, fresh ginger, cream and lemongrass) or a Crazyberry (Tanqueray, raspberries, fresh chillies, framboise and lime juice).
The Crazy Bear
food
Just £27 for a luxe take on a ‘surf and turf’, with wagyu steak, lobster and a glass of Pere et Fils Champagne.Take your pick from three Crazy Bear venues (there’s one in Fitzrovia and two out in the countryside: one just 25 minutes on the train from Marylebone in Beaconsfield and one in Oxfordshire).
First up, there’ll be a chilled glass of Pere et Fils Champagne waiting for you on arrival.
Then you’ll be served a plate furnished with a whole lobster tail and 100g of authentic Australian wagyu sirloin steak – you know, from those lucky cows that have been massaged and fed beer to make them just about as tender as meat can get.
Well hold on there cowboy, you’ll be free to decide whether you fancy a Thai or an English slant to your really rather decadent meal – or even if you want to double up on the steak or the lobster instead of having one or the other.
