Daffodil Soup pops up on Hackney Road with homemade vegan ...

Hackneyites are getting a new six-month pop-up that promises modern British and Mediterranean food with a South African twist, by the name of Daffodil Soup.

Some of the more substantial plates on offer include whipped smoked cod roe with crispbread and an overnight beef short rib, plus seasonal soups, salads and desserts, all sustainably sourced where possible.

And as you’ve no doubt guessed, vegans will be well catered for, including several vegan desserts.

Time your visit right, you might be able to take in some live music or poetry, which you can enjoy with a glass of Mauro Vergano or Regal Rogue vermouths.
