The Fine Cheese Co. Belgravia

Our London Cheese Shop and Restaurant in the Heart of Motcomb Street

The Fine Cheese Co. Belgravia — The Fine Cheese Co. Shops

Belgravia is our first London cheese shop venture.

Located in Motcomb Street, Belgravia, we sell 110 artisan European cheeses.

À Table, our dining experience, offers the best from the cheese shop and much more.

All of our food can be enjoyed in À Table's chic surroundings, or outside at the front or on the terrace behind, accompanied by a bottle from the unique 'Wine Wall' that boasts 100 European bottles, from Muscadet to Domaine des Lauriers to Château D'Yquem 1996.

Each wine we offer has been personally selected to pair perfectly with our cheeses and menu dishes.

Forty Hall Farm is an organic farm nestled in the Forty Hall Estate.

The farm is run by Capel Manor College and includes the Forty Hall Community Vineyard, the first commercial scale vineyard in London since the middle ages.

As well as operating as a local food project, the aim of the vineyard is to bring wine production to the heart of the local community and to champion quality, sustainability, health, wellbeing and community involvement.

10 acres of vines are planted on a south-facing, gravelly plot from which the aim is to make quality still and sparkling wines.

The adjacent Forty Hall & Estate with its Grade I listed Jacobean Manor House with permanent exhibition, an exhibition programme focused on art, ecology and heritage, together with a shop and café, means that Forty Hall is one of a surprising number of vineyards with a stately home nearby.

And it’s not a bad thing: the chef shows his caring side in other ways here – with service, food and an overall experience that has remained near-perfect since the place opened in April 2010.

However, Ramsay realises his name draws those on a salaryman’s salary too, so it’s possible to eat and drink here with value.

The set lunch still has a few of the luxe ingredients that characterise the carte and tasting menus: asparagus, aged beef, foie gras.

Food here is rich, for sure, but it’s plated with a light touch: roast cod and crushed potatoes rich in olive oil came with a punchy accompaniment of cornichons and brown shrimps; and a saddle of rabbit was sharpened by peas and mint oil.

Special mention to the fine cheese board, which is a no-supplement option on the £35 three-course set lunch.
